As a leading supplier of gas-fired boilers and water heaters with NOx reduction controls, Ajax has continued to meet the tough requirements for NOx and CO levels set by the California’s South Coast Air Quality Management District; the benchmark for AQMD rules. Other states have recently adopted these same strict standards.

Premix 20 ppm NOx System
Ajax has developed its advanced Premix 12 and 20 ppm NOx burner design specifically for Low NOx Ajax Series boilers and Ace Series water heaters. The simple and reliable design is the result of many years of development. 20 ppm systems are available up to 2 MMBH, while 12 ppm systems are available from 2 to 8 MMBH.
Induced Flue Gas Recirculation: 30 ppm NOx System
The AJAX induced flue gas recirculation system uses a low NOx burner to burn natural gas or LPG (LPG not UL/ETL) at less than 30 ppm NOx. The burner combustion air fan is used to induce the proper flow of flue gas into the combustion air within the burner housing. The result is a reduction of adiabatic flame temperature and NOx formation. A separate flue gas damper assembly is mechanically linked to the burner fuel/air control system in order to maintain proper NOx control throughout the firing range.
